This Refunds Policy outlines the conditions under which you may request a refund for your purchase. By purchasing or using the Plugin, you agree to the terms of this policy.
1. Refund Eligibility
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for the Plugin, subject to the conditions below:
- Timeframe: You may request a refund within 30 calendar days from the date of purchase, as indicated in your purchase confirmation email.
- License Key: The Plugin requires a unique license key (e.g., F29O-****-****-****) for activation, which is emailed to you upon successful payment via Stripe. To be eligible for a refund, you must provide the license key associated with your purchase, and it must be deactivated (see Section 3).
- Usage: Refunds are available for purchases where the Plugin has not been used beyond reasonable testing to determine functionality. Excessive use, such as extensive synchronization of products or integration into a live WooCommerce store, may disqualify a refund at our discretion.
- Compliance: You must comply with our Terms of Use (available at https://woosync.site/terms-of-use), including not sharing or misusing the license key.
2. Non-Refundable Circumstances
Refunds will not be granted in the following cases:
- Requests made after the 30-day refund period.
- Purchases where the license key has been shared, transferred, or used on multiple WordPress installations without additional licenses.
- Issues arising from failure to meet the Plugin’s system requirements (e.g., WordPress 5.0+, WooCommerce 5.0+, PHP 7.4+, valid Google Cloud Project with Sheets API enabled).
- Problems caused by improper configuration, third-party plugins, or server issues not related to the Plugin.
- Dissatisfaction due to features not advertised or promised in the Plugin’s documentation.
- Exceeding Google Sheets API quotas, which may affect synchronization.
- Refunds for purchases made through third-party platforms or resellers, as these are subject to their respective policies.
3. Refund Process
To request a refund, follow these steps:
- Contact Us: Email support@woosync.site within 30 days of purchase. Include:
- Your full name and email address used for the purchase.
- The license key provided in your purchase confirmation email.
- A brief explanation of the reason for your refund request.
- Your order number or transaction ID (if available).
- License Key Deactivation: Upon approving your refund request, we will deactivate your license key, rendering the Plugin non-functional on your WordPress installation. You must uninstall the Plugin from your WordPress site and confirm this in writing to proceed with the refund.
- Processing: Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days of approval. Funds will be returned to the original payment method via Stripe, in US dollars, subject to Stripe’s processing times (typically 5-10 additional business days).
- Confirmation: You will receive an email confirmation once the refund is processed.
4. Technical Support Before Refunding
We encourage you to contact our support team at support@woosync.site before requesting a refund, as many issues can be resolved through troubleshooting. Common issues, such as configuration errors or Google Sheets API setup problems, are often addressed in our documentation or through direct support. Please provide your license key and relevant details (e.g., WordPress setup, sync logs) when seeking assistance.
5. Consumer Protection
As a South African-based business, we comply with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of 2008. Under the CPA:
- You are entitled to a refund if the Plugin is defective or does not perform as advertised within the 30-day refund period.
- Refunds are subject to reasonable verification to ensure the Plugin was not misused or improperly configured.
- The CPA’s “cooling-off” period (7 days for unsolicited marketing) does not apply to online purchases initiated by you, but our 30-day refund policy exceeds this standard.
For customers outside South Africa, additional consumer protection laws may apply in your jurisdiction. We will work to ensure compliance with such laws where applicable.
6. Chargebacks and Disputes
If you initiate a chargeback or dispute through Stripe or your payment provider without first contacting us, we reserve the right to deactivate your license key and suspend access to the Plugin and support services. We encourage you to resolve issues directly with us to avoid unnecessary disputes.
7. Limitations
- Currency: All refunds are processed in US dollars, as this is the currency used for purchases. You are responsible for any currency conversion fees imposed by your bank or payment provider.
- Third-Party Fees: Refunds cover the purchase price of the Plugin only. Any transaction fees charged by Stripe or other payment providers are non-refundable.
- Partial Refunds: We do not offer partial refunds for partial use of the Plugin or for licenses that have been partially activated.
